Canadian bodybuilder Michele Ward is an effortlessly elegant woman.

Whether dressed to kill in a sexy cocktail frock or relaxing in jeans and jumper, she exudes femininity and class.
But stick a loaded barbell in front of her and this fabulous 55-year-old becomes an iron-pumping animal hell bent on building muscle!
Michele, who ha a 23-year-old son, only picked up her first weight in 2004 at the age of 46.
But she has been determinedly pumping iron ever since, and has built a truly breath-taking physique.
Any critics of female bodybuilders who snipe that they don't look feminine should take a look at our pictures of Michele! She combines serious muscle (40 inch chest and 15 inch biceps!) with beautifully elegant lines and and superb overall physical balance.
And, although she has retired from female bodybuilding competitions, she is as intent as ever at packing on more muscle mass.
She told realfemalebodybuilding: “Once I started gaining size I loved it and was addicted.
“My short term goal right now is to gain some of the size that I have lost due to a
change in diet and not doing intense training like before.

She said it is this ability to build a muscular body through a combination of discipline, drive and focus which has maintained her love for bodybuilding and added: “The biggest thrill when I started lifting was watching my body change and being able to be in control of making it happen.

“And I still love the results and the way you can change your body when you put the right effort into it.”

Watch Michele pump out some seriously heavy barbell curls here!
