Meet Stephanie Kincaid – New Jersey muscle mom, female bodybuilder, restaurant waitress and the epitome of what realfemalebodybuilding.com is all about.

The 36-year-old natural bodybuilder holds down a full-time job in a busy restaurant, brings up her 12-year-old son, AND manages to train six days a week to achieve he bodybuilding dream.

We think she's inspirational.

Stephanie has been training for almost four years and already has one Physique competition under her belt - she placed third in the ANBF New Jersey Natural Pro/Am Classic in May 2013.

But now Stephanie wants to step up from the physique category to full-blooded female bodybuilding. She says she is determined to get huge and take to the stage in the Women's Bodybuilding class.

And, despite Stephanie's busy lifestyle and the many pressures on her time, few would doubt Stephanie has the fierce drive and relentless passion necessary to become an elite bodybuilder.

She told realfemalebodybuilding.com: “I have competed as a natural Physique girl but my dream is to get big enough to be able to compete as a full on female bodybuilder.

“I love building muscle and I love being strong and I know I will succeed in my goal.

“I train incredibly hard six days a week – because that is the only way to pack on muscle. Legs are my favorite. I go very hard on legs. Its the only time I bring myself to that point where I almost vomit or pass out! That is where bodybuilding is at its finest.”

What contest are you prepping for now? I'm not totally decided yet which particular show I will be entering, but it will be spring 2014.

How's it going? So far I am reasonably satisfied with my progress coming off of my first competition. I am looking forward to a lot more size, growth and strength come the winter months though.

How many years have you trained? Just under 4 years

Why bodybuilding? Not only do I love watching my body change, I love muscle and being strong.

How and why did you start? I made a shift from being one of those cardio girls to strictly bodybuilding when I realized that I was making faster progress in achieving the look I wanted for myself. I started to become obsessed with setting and breaking new records for myself and I realized that I loved the feel of lifting way more than anything else I had ever done in the gym.

What is your dream? My dream is to get big enough to be able to compete as a female bodybuilder.

What is your short term goal right now? For now my goal is to develop my quads since they are my weakest point.

What keeps you motivated? Many things, but mostly all I need to do is look in the mirror!

What do you love most about bodybuilding? The feeling of being so sore that you can barely move and knowing that it means you are growing.

And what do you hate the most? Not much to hate about it except those cardio days!

What is the biggest thrill or moment you have got from bodybuilding? The first time I got up and did overhand pullups.

Training
How often do you train? Six days a week

What is your program/split? Chest/bis - Back/Lats/tris - Legs – Shoulders - Arms - Legs - Rest

What really works for you? I find the most effective growth when I incorporate supersets, dropsets, and burnouts into my routines. I used to max out with low reps now I stick with high rep lighter weight and I have seen more improvements that way.

Favorite bodypart to train and why? Legs for sure. I go very hard on legs. Its the only time I bring myself to that level to where I almost vomit or pass out. That is where bodybuilding is at its finest.

Biggest improvement in last 12 months? Probably my lats. I barely had any!

Improvements you are targeting ? Lats quads and hams

What tips would you give to newbies? Eat right, change takes time, don’t stop just because it hurts, and you have to push yourself way further than you think you can go.

Any training secrets or amazing exercises which have worked for you? I have seen that what works for one person may not work for others. I just stick to my schedule, give myself a designated time and know what I’m going to do before I walk in. I don’t talk while I am training and I tweak my routine every several weeks so my body doesn’t plateau.

Favourite supplement and why? I only take BCAA’s and use whey protein. I used to take pre and post workouts, but I find that if you just take care of your body and eat correctly you don’t need anything else.

Kids? I have one son 12yrs old.
