The 29-year-old from Gravesend girl may only be 5ft in her bare feet and weigh 120lbs (52kg) but she's a very big deal in the world of women's power-lifting where she breaks records seemingly at every meet!
Emmy, who runs Bulks Gym, received her official certificate from the World Powerlifting Congress this week and said: “I'm so happy! There's nothing better than receiving your WORLD RECORD certificate from the WPC to make the rest of the week so much better!
“I'd really like to thank Emma James and the British Powerlifting Union again as without those guys many of us wouldn't have even had the chance to go for World Records this year.”
Emma only turned to powerlifting a year ago but already her lifts include:
Bench: 70.5kg (155lbs)
Deadlift: 150kg (330lbs)
She said: “I like being able to do what others and the stereotype says I shouldn't.
“I found out I was naturally good and strong at the three powerlifting disciplines without formal training so then took it further with proper training and advice.
“I love breaking the mould - you don't have to be big to lift big!”
